On February 22, Dr. Jo-Marie Burt presented her research on human rights in Peru at the international symposium, "Interdisciplinary Encounters: Historical Memory and Political Violence in Peru," at New York University. She was also invited to speak about her research at her alma mater, the College of the Holy Cross, on February 25. Her talk was entitled, "War Crimes Prosecutions: How Latin America is Reckoning with its Violent Past."
